Virgin launches new low rate credit card

Virgin Money has launched a new low-rate credit card, filling a gap in its product range.

The new card has a purchase rate of 12.99 per cent, a nine months' balance transfer rate of 2.9 per cent and a $59 annual fee.

The company has had a lot of success with its High Flyer card, which offers membership of the Velocity frequent flyer program, since getting back into the card market in mid-2010.
