Rewards cards

There are several different rewards cards available at Westpac, known as the Altitude rewards program (presumably because they all have points that can be exchanged for travel related perks).

Altitude rewards

The Altitude rewards program has no fees on rewards. Points can be exchanged for retail gift cards, cashback, airline points at partners, the exclusive online store or Westpac’s unique ‘pay by points’ feature.

Points are earned as follows:

Altitude rewards platinum

  • 3 points/$ on Qantas/Jetstar flights bought in Australia

  • 2 points/$ on Uber, Uber Eats, Spotify Premium, Airbnb and on Overseas Spend

  • 1 point/$ on all other eligible purchases

Altitude rewards black

  • 6 points/$ on Qantas, Jetstar, Singapore Airlines and Emirates flights bought in Australia

  • 2 points/$ at Spotify Premium, David Jones, Myer, THE ICONIC, Airbnb, Uber and Uber Eats

  • 1 point/$ on all other eligible purchases

Altitude Qantas

With the Altitude Qantas rewards program, you can earn Qantas frequent flyer points from purchases. These can be exchanged for upgrades, flights, hotels, travel or any products from over 900 related brands. There is an annual Altitude Qantas rewards program fee of $75 that applies.

Points are earned as follows:

  • Qantas rewards platinum: 0.5 points per $ spent on eligible purchases (up to $100,000)

  • Qantas rewards black: 0.75 points per $ spent on eligible purchases (up to $250,000)

Altitude Velocity

Like the Altitude Qantas program, Westpac customers can also choose Velocity Rewards cards, where points can be exchanged for frequent flyer points with Virgin Australia and its partners. A $75 annual rewards fee also applies, and the points system is the same as with Qantas, except with no maximum limit on purchases.
