ING, NAB, Credit Unions: good transaction accounts

29/03/2011

The ING Orange Everyday Account is a good option if you're a bit free and easy with where you stick your plastic. It has no monthly fees, and no ATM fees, anywhere, so long as you withdraw $200 or more each time.

The big four have some OK transaction accounts. The best of the bunch is NAB's "classic banking" option, which is fee-free. The other three banks have so-so deals that (mostly) waive certain fees in return for having your wage deposited. If you want to keep it in the community, most credit unions offer great accounts and good service.
