Some of the most popular savings accounts in the market right now are the Ubank Usaver account which features a special interest rate of 5.95 per cent if you make regular monthly deposits, and the Citibank Online Saver with an interest rate of 5.88 per cent for first six months, reverting back to 4.5 per cent.

ING Direct are paying 5.85 per cent for the first four months while St George are offering rates of 5.75 per cent for new customer who sign up for a DirectSaver account before the end of June. ANZ are offering 5.5 per cent until June 2010 for new customers who sign before 30 March.
