Auction results firing up again

The residential property auction season is firing up again with some reasonable results in Sydney and Melbourne. There were 137 auctions held in Sydney on the weekend with 67 per cent producing a sale. Last week there were just 37 auctions with a clearance rate of 70 per cent. On the same weekend last year, there were 125 auctions held in Sydney with a clearance rate of 70 per cent.

In Melbourne, there were 161 auctions held on Saturday with 66 per cent producing a sale. Last week there were just 49 auctions with a clearance rate of 76.5 per cent. On the same weekend last year there were 77 auctions with a clearance rate of 49 per cent.

In Adelaide there 45 auctions held with a 55 per cent clearance rate. In Brisbane there were just 27 auctions held for a 40 per cent clearance rate.
