Auctions still working for vendors

There were more strong auction results from capital cities around the court this week. 556 residential properties were listed for auction in Sydney on Saturday, with 59 per cent selling on the day. Those results were slightly up on last week, when 58 per cent of 533 properties sold at auction in Sydney. On the same weekend last year, 71 per cent of 251 properties sold at auction in Sydney.

In Melbourne there were 867 properties listed for auction on Saturday with 57 per cent selling on the day. Those results were slightly down from last week when 62 per cent of 957 properties sold at auction in Melbourne. On the same weekend last year, 83 per cent of 455 properties sold at auction in Melbourne. There were 59 properties put up for auction in Brisbane on Saturday with 36 per cent selling on the day.
