ME bank opens more Melbourne branches

ME Bank has announced the opening of two new branches in southern and eastern Melbourne, taking the bank’s total branch network to eight. The new Knox branch will be located at Knox City Shopping Centre in Wantirna South, Melbourne, near Kmart.

ME Bank’s eighth branch is scheduled to open in Southland shopping centre in early November this year. Southland is one of the largest regional shopping centres in Victoria and is located in Cheltenham, fifteen kilometres south of Melbourne CBD.

Vicki Beard, National Manager, ME Bank Branch Banking, said “The remarkable growth of our member base in Victoria among members of super funds and the unions has prompted ME Bank’s decision to expand its branch network in Melbourne to provide members with greater choice on how they do their banking, The presence of branches will re-enforce to our members, the commitment of the bank to provide high quality banking services and to supplement our existing workplace distribution channels.”
