School tuckshops take credit cards online

06/10/2009

Parents at some schools are paying for their children’s lunches online with their credit card to avoid having to give their children money.
Holy Cross Primary School at Glenwood in Sydney's west has an electronic lunch program called Munch Monitor which works like a toll system.
There are other systems being used by schools such as FlexiSchools which runs off a prepaid online account.
Parents create the account for each child, transferring funds into it via credit card or Bpay.
