Westpac has fastest mortgage turnaround times

Westpac has the fastest approval times for mortgage applications filed through brokers according to big mortgage broking chain AFG.

Westpac usually takes about 24 hours to process mortgage applications. St George is the next fastest at 2 working days, followed by Commonwealth Bank which usually takes about three working days. ANZ takes about four days to turnaround a mortgage application from a mortgage broker, says AFG.

NAB has acknowledged delays in processing mortgage applications.
