Airport strike to hit travellers

Flights across Australia will be disrupted for at least four hours today when Melbourne airport workers walk off the job between 11am and 3pm (AEDT).

It will not only shut down flights into and out of Melbourne, Essendon and Moorabbin but affect services across all States and territories. The strike is the result of a stalled pay dispute, and involves air traffic controllers, manufacturing, clerical and engineering airport workers.
