All Westpac accounts now up-to-date
Westpac says all its customer accounts are up to date after payments processing problems yesterday.
Jane Counsel, a spokeswoman for the bank, said this morning that all outstanding payments had been processed, including payments to customers of other banks.
A “corrupt file” in the bank's payments process stopped the flow of money to and from Westpac accounts on Monday night.
Westpac ATMs, POS, online banking, telephone banking and branch banking are operating as normal.
The bank added that customers would not be charged extra fees stemming from the delay.
