Ansett maintenance systems under scrutiny

The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) has indicated it will be closely examining the aircraft maintenance systems of Lew and Fox's Tesna syndicate as the new airline seeks regulatory approval. At present Tesna is planning to sign a two-year contract with existing Ansett maintenance facilities, with continued use of the airline's maintenance hangars.

CASA is keen to ensure the new system works safely given previous problems with the maintenance of Ansett aircraft.
