Ansett working with CASA in safety review
In a bid to restore public confidence after a series of aircraft groundings, Ansett has revealed that it is working with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) to review its maintenance processes. Ansett Australia general manager Andrew Miller stressed that passengers should not be concerned about the safety of Ansett aircraft. Mr Miller said that Ansett itself had insisted on the aircraft groundings to ensure public safety after Ansett staff discovered the faults in some of its Boeing 767 jets.
