ANZ’s queue solution just the ticket

ANZ's Bondi Junction branch has become the 25th to have a new queuing system introduced which the bank says is to make them as comfortable as possible while they wait for service.

Customers take a numbered ticket on entry and select the type of service they want (credit card enquiry, deposit, withdrawal etc). The customer will then sit in a furnished waiting area with newspapers as they wait for their number to be called.

Mr Edwards says the ANZ acknowledged that customers do have to wait for service. The new system has been introduced to 25 ANZ branches over the past two years, but the bank says this is not to the detriment of counter staff numbers.
