ASIC bans Perth financial adviser

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission has placed a permanent ban on Perth financial adviser Kevin Alan Trezona. ASIC found that Trezona, formerly the owner of financial advisory firm Investment Planners (Australia), repeatedly failed to have a reasonable basis for making recommendations to a large number of his clients and also tried to contract out his responsibilities. ASIC commenced the probe on Mr Trezona's conducts in 2001, after investigating the Perth companies Tribune Resources, Oretek and Rand Mining.
