Availability still the key on low airfares

A FlightChoice examination of the airlines' websites shows that while Impulse has quite a number of its $37 one-way Sydney-Melbourne fares available for those wanting to travel over the next few days, Qantas has no $36.30 fares left over the same period and has stopped promoting the offer on its homepage, 24 hours after making it available.

Meanwhile, Ansett has today launched its own internet-only $36.30 one-way fare offer Sydney-Melbourne but with long delays being experienced on its website, FlightChoice has been unable to determine availability.

Ansett has also announced net-only fares matching Impulse on the Sydney-Canberra, Melbourne-Canberra, Canberra-Brisbane, Sydney-Hobart and Melbourne-Hobart routes.
