Card providers fail the online test
Most credit card issuers are not providing customer service via the Internet and not using this medium to attract users, analysis by Global Reviews has found. The survey rated card issuers' online service and assistance levels on 600 criteria. ANZ Bank got the highest score – 67 per cent – followed by St George and NAB with 64 per cent. Newcomer Virgin Money scored 50 per cent. Charge cards American Express (49 per cent) and Diners Club (43 per cent) scored the lowest ratings. Global Reviews said credit card issuers are offering special introductory deals and cutting interest rates but still not exploiting the Internet to entice new customers.
