Extended warranty card bundle may be worth it
There are some decent offers available in the credit card space at moment. There are at least 66 personal credit cards with extended warranties. The annual fee for these cards ranges from nothing (Bankwest’s Zero and Gold MasterCards) to $700 for a Citibank Select Credit Card. The average fee is $157.
Sixty-one of these offer an extended warranty for one year. Five offer an extended warranty for two years. These five are all platinum cards by Westpac and have an average annual fee of $244. Extended warranties can be expensive and are dependent on the cost of the item. A two-year extended warranty for a $2000 television from Harvey Norman would cost $230 for example.
