Few sure about investment choice

As many as 85 per cent of people say they lack the skills to make informed choices about investment and superannuation. A survey of 800 employees by the University of Melbourne also found that 60 per cent of employees lacked the confidence to make financial decisions and 46 per cent were anxious about making financial decisions. Survey author Thomas Garman said a major improvement was needed in workplace financial literacy standards, with choice of superannuation fund legislation due to come into effect in July next year.
