Growth beats value in current market

Fund managers using the ‘growth' approach to investing are on the whole outperforming fund managers who favour the ‘value' approach. InTech, which surveys fund manager returns, says value managers congregate at the bottom of its performance rankings, based on one-year and three-year returns. Value managers tend to worry more about the current price of a stock relative to earnings, while growth managers tend to worry more about the prospects for profit growth of a company.
