Hot property investment locations named
One hundred top suburbs and towns that will deliver capital growth and solid returns for property investors have been identified by Property Investor magazine.
Matthew Liddy from Property Investor Magazine says there are lots of different factors that can produce an investment hotspot.
“There are things like new transport infrastructure going into an area, there is also things like urban gentrification. You've got things like population growth.”
In Western Australia, Geraldton tops the list of property investment hotspots. In South Australia, Thebarton, Ceduna, Glenside and Hindmarsh are standouts.
Melbourne's northern suburbs are the safe bets especially locations such as Faulkner, Coburg and Carlton in the inner north. Footscray is also named as hotspot.
In New South Wales Liddy identified 26 hot locations, including Newtown, Leichhardt and the eastern suburbs.
In Queensland, Albion and Kedron are tipped for good growth, as is Keparra. Rapid Creek in the Northern territory is also named along with Clarence City in Tasmania.
