It’s Official – Aussies are saving more cash

The latest Reserve Bank of Australia Review reports that overall indicators of household resilience remain sound, supported by solid employment growth.

The RBA said Australian households continue to save a greater share of their income than in the decade or so prior to the global financial crisis. Saving money has become a national habit. Some studies estimate the average level of savings by Aussie households is between ten and 17 per cent of income.
