Local and mobile calls from the same handset

The combined efforts of Australian telecommunications company, Orange, and Korean company, Samsung, have produced the first mobile phone that will enable users to make calls charged at local landline rates, when in the designated ‘local zone', and calls charged at mobile prices when on the run. The new ‘local zone' system is predicted to increase the already red hot competition in the mobile phone market.
