Netbank open for a chat
Commonwealth Bank customers will be able to chat with a staff member directly from the bank website when an upgrade now underway is complete.
Customers can already chat to staff from the website when they are applying for a new product, but online banking general manager Drew Unsworth said chat was in its infancy and only about 5-10 per cent of customers use it during the application process.
Commonwealth will also strengthen security for business customers with digital identities and authentication, and electronic signature capability.
