New phone code not good enough

A new code released by the Australian Communications Authority (ACA) which outlines the minimum steps a phone company must follow before disconnecting, restricting or suspending services has come under criticism. Mr Lindsay Tanner, Federal Shadow Minister for Consumer Affairs, says the code is not thorough enough and needs to protect consumers in a similar manner that they are protected from credit card misuse.
