NRMA to compete against NRMA

NRMA is investigating setting up a new insurance brand to subsidise its road service operation, six years after spinning off and listing NRMA insurance. The insurance business is now owned by IAG who hold rights to the NRMA brand and benefit from the 60 per cent of NRMA members who hold NRMA insurance policies. But NRMA president Alan Evans says members could benefit from lower premiums from a non-profit organisation.
