One third do their banking on phone

Bank customers are abandoning computer based internet banking and ‘bricks and mortar’ bank branches and flocking to new mobile phone and pad based applications to do their banking.

One third of bank customers are now doing their banking on a smartphone or pad and they love the experience.

“Banking in Australia has been under a quiet revolution for the past few years,” said Liz Phillips, User Experience Consultant at Objective Digital.

“The transformation about the way we bank is quietly progressing. Australian consumers are welcoming and are increasingly expecting improved services in this area.”
