Qantas upgrades domestic food and beverage

Qantas is offering a new food and services style to its domestic economoy meals from 25 July. The redesign of the airlines's domestic meals will focus on food and beverage, equipment and service.

Chef and restaurateur Neil Perry will be overseeing the redesign as he has done previously in Qantas international, First and Business Class.

A new look tray service for breakfast and dinner services, a lighter continental style breakfast option, gourment sandwiches for lunch. Refreshments include dips with breadsticks, vintage cheddar, fresh cakes and biscuits, bottled orange juice and water and Moconna Indulgence coffee.

The most visible difference will be a meal box in place of a tray for snacks, lunch and weekend breakfast services, which Qantas believes will allow faster easier service. These boxes have been designed to be environmentally friendly, the choice of material for the box and its content from either recycled or fully recyclable material, waste recovery processes, and sorting and recycling where possible.
