Rabobank tackles transaction accounts

Rabobank will start offering transaction banking accounts to farmers and agribusiness customers, the first time the bank has offered these services to its many borrowers. Rabobank is the second largest lender to primary industry in Australia, with a 20 per cent market share, behind NAB with a 26 per cent market share. But until now Rabobank has not offered basic transaction banking services. Rabobank is offering an at call deposit rate of 4.28 per cent on deposits of at least $5,000, increasing to rates of 5.12 per cent on deposits in excess of $250,000.
