SA agents oppose auction reforms

South Australian real estate agents are gearing up to oppose State Government industry reform proposals similar to those already introduced in Victoria and NSW. Members of the Real Estate Institute of SA met to discuss proposals that will outlaw dummy bidding, restrict vendors to one bid, require pre-registration of bidders, ban under or overquoting on prices and seek disclosure of relationships from which benefits may accrue. The industry will oppose pre-registration of bidders and the restriction on vendor bids.
