Sensis hints that ASX listing is likely
Telstra is well advanced with a plan to spin-off and float its advertising and directories subsidiary, Sensis. Bruce Akhurst, the newly appointed head of Sensis, said the company might list and it was his job was to unlock its potential. Akhurst said any listing was a decision for the Telstra board and the federal government. Analysts estimate Telstra could raise as much as $10.6 billion by listing Sensis. Akhurst also made it clear that Sensis was not about to become a major media company.
