Stockbroker committed for trial

Mark William Steele, a former Melbourne stockbroker who previously worked for William Noall and Barton Capital Securities, has been committed to face trial on alleged unauthorised transactions on client accounts and theft of almost $100,000.

ASIC charged Mr Steele on 16 counts for allegedly opening accounts in fictitious names and the names of associates. Mr Steele appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates' Court and reserved his plea.
