Telstra better in bush than city
The latest Australian Communications Authority Report has found that Telstra service particularly in the bush has improved. According to the report, in rural areas Telstra is repairing and connecting services on time more often than in the city. 95 per cent of new lines were connected within the specified time frame of 10 working days in rural areas and 30 working days in remote regions. In city areas, Telstra carries out new connections within the specified period of 5 working days only 93 per cent of the time. When it comes to repairing faults, 94 per cent of the time Telstra successfully fixes faults in rural areas within two working days, compared to 90 per cent within 1 working day for the city.
