Warning over credit card scam

The South Australian Office of Consumer and Business Affairs is warning people to watch out for a credit card scam. A fraudster is telephoning Visa and MasterCard holders and asking holders to help sort out so-called unauthorised transactions by confirming their card numbers over the phone. SA Consumer Affairs said consumers who receive such calls should contact their card providers immediately. They should also contact Consumer Affairs on 08 8204 9777 or 131 882.
