What should I look for in a transaction account?

A transaction banking account is often considered the foundation stone of your banking relationship with your financial institution.

You don’t need to keep using the same transaction account you have had since you were a child.

Look for a low fee or no fee account with plenty of ways to make transactions, like a good internet banking system, BPay, lots of ATMs and a good debit card.

You may like to choose an account with a banking institution that has a branch near you but branch banking is increasingly not important to many people.
