Interest rates on credit cards are not falling despite cuts to the Reserve Bank’s cash rate. Consumers have to shop around and compare deals to find good low rate or low fee credit cards.
In fact the average credit card interest rate has risen while official interest rates have fallen. Only Victoria Teachers Mutual Bank is cutting credit card rates by 0.25 per cent in response to February’s RBA rate cut of 0.25 per cent.
