Which lenders are the most complained about?

Bankwest has above-average dispute levels in many separate categories of the Financial Ombudsman Service's 2014/15 dispute league table.

For every 100,000 home loan customers, the median number of disputes between lenders and their borrowers was 40.8 in 2014/15.

Bank of Queensland copped 90 disputes per 100,000 borrowers last year. Rams had 68 and Bankwest had 72 per 100,000.

The big banks all scored in the low forties, except Westpac with a score of just 22. The lender with the lowest chance of a dispute ending up with the FOS is Citibank, with a rating of 12.
