World sharemarkets on bull run
Share markets around the world are rising to new highs, pushed mainly by strength from Wall Street. The Dow Jones is within reach of its all time high of 11,750 points at 11,317. Markets in the UK and Europe are also on bull runs. After 11 days of advances, Bloomberg says European markets are producing the best results since 1999. Asian markets were also generally stronger with the exception of India and Taiwan. Stronger US company profits, lower oil prices and an easing in inflation fears are the major factors affecting the US results.
