Would you share a bank account with your loved one

Less than half of Australian adults have a joint bank account. One in three people prefer to keep their financial business private and they hold their own accounts. Joint accounts can be beneficial in keeping relationships open and honest and developing a joint savings habit. Experts say it is important to decide on an amount you'll deposit each week, fortnight or month.

However, joint finances can be messy if there's a breakup. There are more than 40,000 divorces in Australia each year.
