ANZ Credit card review

Who can get a credit card with ANZ?

As with most credit products, customers need to be over 18 to apply for an ANZ credit card. They also need to be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia (or New Zealand), or have more than nine months left on their visa.

ANZ credit card terms

All the above cards have a maximum interest free period of 55 days. Credit limits vary between customers, but must be above the minimum limits. ANZ says it will lower credit limits upon request, but any outstanding amount needs to be paid off before this can happen.

Any person who is over 16 years old can be added as an additional card holder to these products, up to the limit. For the rewards cards, there can be up to 9 card holders, but for more basic products like ANZ First and ANZ low rate, the limit is 3.

ANZ personal instalment plans

ANZ customers can apply for a personal instalment plan to help them manage their repayments, often at a discounted rate. It can be done through the ANZ app, and customers can choose between three, six or twelve month plans. The ANZ website compares the instalment plan to a Buy Now Pay Later service, because it allows customers to defer repayments.
