List goes on for small ASX floats
Stock exchange floats will continue apace in 2004 but smaller listings this year will not generate as much capital, according to PricewaterhouseCoopers. Thirty-one companies listed on the ASX in the last quarter of 2003 out of a total of 47 for the whole calendar year. In 2002, there were 42 floats. There are at least 50 non-resources companies lining up to float in 2004. PWC says 2004's listings will be across a broader range of sectors than in 2003, with technology and telecommunications companies to return to the scene.
