Easy bills or telcos to cop fine

Under the consumer billing code, phone companies will be required to ensure that their bills are clear and easy to understand. The Australian Communication Authority implemented a code yesterday that has set minimum standards for the content and presentation of bills and customer access to bill information. Fines of up to $250,000 will be issued to companies who do not abide by the code.
