How does credit card travel insurance work?
Credit card travel insurance is usually triggered when the card-holder pays for part of their journey using the credit card or pays for the full cost of a return overseas flight.
Most credit cards that have travel insurance offer unlimited medical cover.
NAB covers actual costs of medical and dental emergencies. Others have caps on dental charges between $750 and $2000.
Credit card travel insurance also covers loss of luggage and personal effects.
